One HUGE “ask” at a time

Grade 2 Class Learns to Negotiate

Each student in Mrs. Baker’s Grade 2 class wrote a letter to the Principal and Vice-principal this past week. In their letters they requested an opportunity to support the Jets during the playoff games by wearing Jets jerseys.

JetsThe students shared how much they would appreciate this privilege, and reminded the Administration of how hard they have been working this year including statements such as: “we have been working hard at self-control”, “we have learned to self-edit”, “we include more details in our writing”, “we tuck in our shirts” and “we have uniform pride” were some of the accomplishments shared in the letters.

But most importantly, they simply admitted that they “are HUGE Jets fans”!

SCCS has a special relationship with the Jets as the Chipman children all attended here, Patti Chipman was on our Board of Directors, and we share the same practice rinks! As well, the school Pastor, Msgr. Comeault, once a contender for professional hockey, schedules Board meetings around Jets games.

Go, Jets, go!   Way to go, Grade 2!
