Greetings! My name is Carrie Gel and I am so excited to be teaching the grade 5 class next year. For the past 4 years I have been a grade 5 teacher and before that I have taught grades 7 and 8 for several years. I have a beautiful family, Ashlynn (6) and Kaitlynn (4), who add so much joy and laughter in my life. Together we have a passion for camping and playing games as a family.  I am looking forward to becoming part of the St. Charles family. ~ Ms. Gel

My name is Candace Hawkins and I am a mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunty and friend. I was born and raised in Winnipeg. I have two brothers and 2 sisters. I am a current graduate of the University of Winnipeg and look forward to learning and growing at SCCS while implementing new and refreshing lessons and activities within the Social Studies teachings. I have a 13 year old son named Easton and a 1 year old Shorkie named Rosco. Along with my fiancé Dave, we enjoy quality family time together spending much of it outdoors, riding bikes, walks, camping, fishing and sometimes just listening to music while we enjoy all of nature’s wonderful gifts. I am thrilled to be a part of and to teach at SCCS and look forward to growing, learning and inspiring students to be the best that they can be. ~ Ms. Hawkins
